We pride ourselves on offering a heritage service that is tailored to your needs and the project’s circumstances.
Our team of qualified heritage professionals are ready to assist with applications associated with scheduled monuments, whether you are seeking to carry out works to a scheduled monument or your application site is in the vicinity of a Scheduled Monument.
What is a Scheduled Monument?
With circa 200,000 scheduled monuments throughout the UK including sites such as Roman remains and burial mounds to castles and bridges. Any works required on a monument require scheduled monument consent. Such consents are issued by the Secretary of state and not the local planning authority. Historic England manages the process of scheduled monument consent on behalf of the Secretary of State.
Developments in the vicinity of a scheduled monument may also require specialist heritage advice and input for the planning process.
Should you be looking to carry out works to a scheduled monument or looking to develop near a scheduled monument, then our Heritage consultants will be able to assist with scheduled monument consent or a robust heritage statement to support the new development.
Please contact one of our consultants on 01865 950880 to discuss your individual case or send through the details of your case to hello@fullerlong.com.
